Human Values

  Human values are the outcome of standards of behavior following a set of key ethical principles in a human being. Morals are the principles that help to think a man about right or wrong. Values are beliefs of man which help him to take the decision. The way of taking decisions are     ethics. The human value is the blending of morals, values and ethics. As Examples: 
i) Mr. Biman’s one of the colleagues, Rahul always engaged in personal mobile phone in his work place. Biman protested because it was morally wrong. 
ii) In a midnight, Mr. Rahul’s father became very serious ill. Rahul called his colleague Biman to come and take his father to hospital. Biman decided to go and help him. It is value.
iii) Biman reached quickly to Rahul’s house and calling an ambulance took his father to hospital. The way of taking decision is ethics. Biman is regarded as a human being of values.

Few Human Values and Their Positive Effects:

i)Integrity: We know‘honesty is a great virtue’. Integrity is the outcome of the moral of honesty. We consider a man as honest when his thoughts and activities are well matched. There is a well coordination between what he thinks and what he does. The aim of education is to make unique balance between one’s wish and actions. People can be able to judge a person in whom integrity is prevalent and automatically belief comes on him. 
For example- Mr. Arun committed to Mr. Bimal to lend him five thousand rupees next morning for treatment. Mr. Bimal committed him that one month after he would return money. Then the day came and Mr. Bimal returned five thousand rupees. This is the integrity of character.

ii)Work Culture: Large organizations introduce the employees’ code of ethics. The guidelines of the code make employees more disciplined, bring uniformity in their behavior and make more positive. For example, timings of arrival, maintaining uniform etc.

iii)Service: The term service is quite different from duty. In an organization duty is assigned to an employee. But service means to serve for others offering the valuable times without any personal interest. It is an intensity to do from heart. It adds the positive human values and makes love able character.

iv) Learning:
Learning is a never ending process. No one is sufficient with his knowledge. When an employee can be involved in practical works, the mistakes or lack of knowledge can be found. Large organizations can provide the training, workshops etc. to cover the gap. Eagerness of learning adds the value and development of the employees. The employees have to make adapt with up growing technology and devices. Learning serves the positive human value to the individual and overall development of the organization.

v)Civic Sense: It adds the high value to a human being. The human beings belong to a society. It is the responsibility of an individual to keep environment clean and free of pollution. The civic sense helps to do it. A man of high civic sense be very formal in behavior, his dealings with common people and colleagues will be love able, he will pay respect to the dignity of the human being, he will be a man of consideration but makes protest to the misconducts in the society and organization.

vi)Respect for Others: It is the common words if one give respect to others; he also gets respect from others. Respect makes strong bond between the family members, the members of the society and organizations. It also helps to avoid communal feelings, untouchability etc.

vii)Caring:Human beings normally expect attention and care from others. If anyone ignores him/her, he/she feels lonely. Proper care gives satisfaction in him/her. It reduces the misunderstanding and miscommunication in a family and conflicts in organizations. Care of the bosses to the subordinates develops the productivity of the organization.

viii) Cooperation: This value learns how to work together in an organization or society. It provides a big strength accumulating the individual strength. It helps the growth of the organization and business.

ix)Empathy: This value helps a person to judge others establishing him to the same condition of them. He can feel and realize the others’ problems and shows consideration to them. 

x)Commitment: This value creates positive attitude in a man. In the individual level it makes man responsible and in organizational level it helps the organizational growth with positive awareness.

xi)Self Confidence:It means the belief or trust on own performance and ability. This is the positive force of mind. It is the key source of all achievements of life.

xii)Honesty: It means the truthfulness in all aspects of life as speech, behavior, thoughts, actions etc. It makes the positive motives and helps to gain the trust of others. Truth bridges the gulf between ‘I’ and ‘you’.

xiii)Respect to time: It is one of the most important human values which helps person to utilize each moment usefully. For example- the scientists, the researchers, the successful businessmen and industrialists. In chain marketing, suppose a person leads 12 people. He personally works 2 hours but his group output is 24 hours at the same time which helps the growth of the business. Time management also learns how to do the right jobs in right moments, saving the time and that is the basic root of a professional person.

xiv)Spirituality: It learns the faith on the ideal. It brings the well balance between mind and body. The repetition of naming sounds (biz mantra), received from Guru, makes man sensitive and meditation makes man full of patience and peace. Every human being has their own soul power. If he/she evokes it, he/she can make unbelievable change in the universe. Devotion and deep concentration of mind can bring the light of life.

  All these values are not independent but are interdependent. All together make good human character, more positive and bring success in life.
